Vivid

Sometimes dreams are too vivid to ignore.
Especially ones that taunt you with that one thing you want, just out of reach behind your eyelids.

Every Loss Mamma deals with these dreams. Either about the life you could have had with your baby, or a life you could have with your rainbow.

How do you deal with this?

Some of us just have to ignore it. Try to block it out and keep moving forward.

Some of us cry it out and let it consume us for a little while, and then get up and brush ourselves off.

Some of us blog it out, share it and hope that it will give us peace.

Some of us will be so shaken by the fleeting reality we have seen we become lost.

I tend to be in the blog it out category. You've probably seen it before. It helps me for the most part. If I don't blog it turned into the shaken category.

Last night I dreamed about being pregnant and my water breaking. The excitement and terror overwhelming, the panic in D's face, and the strange sensation of movement in my belly. I have no idea if any of it was anything like reality, but I wanted it. As soon as my eyes fluttered open with the rising sun I tightly shut them, hoping to hold on to the moment for just another brief second.
It was all over before it begun. Was there a baby? Or maybe 2? Girl? Boy? Complicated or easy birth? I don't know. It was all just a silly dream.
